Hello all. I'm new to Jaguar's, but I just bought a 2011 XF with 108k. A bit higher mileage than I would have liked, but looking at the carfax this was a loaner for a Jag dealership at the beginning of its life. I have a relative that bought this for them self, but ended up feeling it was 'too much car' for them. Unfortunately right before I picked it up, but after I test drove it the nav screen went on the fritz. I have been digging through the XF forums for help, but so far no luck. I'll be making a post there soon to get some advice, so I hope to get some insight. Wish me luck.

Hello, Jason,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
I suppose, those for whom a Japanese refrigerator car (the personality of a refrigerator) is not "too much car," a Jaguar like you have sort of inherited Would be "too much car."

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Their loss is my pleasure, right?! It was fun to drive up in the mountains this weekend.

One week into ownership and already discovered a second problem! Leaking sunroof, which I'm guessing caused the radio to stop working after it rained here recently. At least it's a fun car to drive.

Open up the sunroof and check in the 4 corners. There are drain lines for water on the sunroof. To check them pour a half cup of water in each and make sure the are clear. If you need to clear one you can run a soft flexible wire down the tube.

Thank you - I will take a look this weekend. The bigger problem I am having with the sunroof is it does not sit flush with the roof line and rattles quite a bit. I have seen a few posts talking about how the screws/bolt were not tight enough from the factory and over time they loosen. It is just a matter of pulling down the headliner and tightening.

Only one of my past Jaguars had a sunroof - an XJ40 twenty five years ago.

Amazing Jaguar haven't learned from their mistakes. It had exactly the same issues of blocked drains and panel fit.
