Hello, My name is Peter (52) and I have recently bought a gorgeous X306. Not my first jaguar as I also have a 4.2 X350 and used to own a 1966 3.8 S-Type
She has 75,000 miles under her belt but is still looking very good for her age.
The interesting thing (and reason I bought her) is she has a V12 interior which I believe was factory ordered. I have always wanted an XJR6 but have never liked the dark wood and sports seats, so when this came along I had to have a look. It was a tad over priced, but my wife was very keen and said where would see another one?
It came with every option other than a safety triangle and cruise control (WHY!) including inbuilt car phone, HK audio and heated screen.
I have had it just over a week and only done a few hundred miles but am loving every minute
I am really enjoying looking around, and reading what other people get unto with their cars. I expect I will be a regular visitor to the x300 section!
I have posted elsewhere on the forum asking GGG to look up the build sheet so I can confirm the above details, and hopefully he can.
Hello, Pete,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
Your wife is absolutely right! Driving a Jaguar you won't have to memorize your plate number to find your car among all the Clones on the road.
(I've just replied to your other post about the VIN.)
Certainly does look very good for 23.
Although X305 is the model forum, you will find relevant information on almost everything except the powertrain in X300 forum. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
