Good evening all,

My name is Randy. I have a connection with the Jaguar's that goes back to my childhood. My mother drove an XJ6, and my father had a number of Jags, but I think my favorite was his '66 E-type. It was funky, fast, and the sound of that V12 was unforgettable.
I have a '77 XJ6L that I have just recently started a 350 conversion on. It seems like a really solid car, no rust, nice older paint job, and very straight over all. I will be having the leather redone this month, and can't wait to get it back on the road.
I am struggling with the wiring at this point, trying to determine which wires are needed to complete the process. I have searched the forums a bit, but haven't found exactly what I'm hoping to find yet. Any help finding such info would be appreciated.
Anxious to get to know some you you here as I'm sure there are lots of opportunities to share info, stories, and connections.
Thanks for having me.

Randy

Hello, Randy,
I drive a 350 Jag, it came to me that way but several others in our playroom where Graham has directed you have done their own. We'll all be more than happy to help you out wherever we can.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thank you all for the kind welcome. I have updated my signature, adding my Jaguar's specifics. I am really looking forward to getting this car back on the road. I love the quote above by Doug: "There is a strong sense of being snug, cozy, and secure while driving...a sort of "this car will take care of me" sensation. That's *real* comfort."
People ask why I'm investing in a 40 year old car. That quote describes it perfectly. There is just something very about these Jaguar's

Randy,

I suggest putting your vehicle details on separate lines .......

1977 Jaguar XJ6L. US model, RHD
1969 Chevrolet 350c.i. / TH350 conversion. Edelbrock 1406 Automatic Choke.

...... easier to read.

Entirely up to you.

How did you get a RHD XJ6 in the US?

Graham

Thank you for the heads up Graham. I don't know how I put RHD in there. Must have been thinking L and typed R. Now it's correct.
Thank you for the wiring diagrams! I downloaded the file and think i can learn to make sense of it. Wiring is not my strength, it just confuses me, as I'm certain I over complicate it. We'll see if I have any luck.
Again, thank you for the help so far. Super glad to be here. I hope I can learn to contribute as I can.
