Hi my name is Pete from Cheadle.

I have recently become the owner of a 2000 XKR. Which I have wanted for years, now being old enough to afford the insurance and running costs I finally got one. It needs a bit of tlc so I might have to pick a few peoples brains at some point

Peter.

Thank you all for the warm welcome:-), Just had my first wave of small engine issues all fixed now hopefully.

Upstream O2 sensors took there pound of flesh out of me on replacement. any one know how long they take to settle in (ecu to respond to new voltages)

Pete,

Straight replacement has much the same effect as a 'hard reset' and will only take a few miles to learn the adaptations.

If you've also cleared codes it will take a few hundred miles of normal driving to complete all OnBoard tests unless you deliberately do 'drive cycles'.

Hello Carid,

Well I have a list of small jobs to be done that include.

Replacing any perished seals and bushes to stop any leaks and tighten up the suspension again (its not bad at the moment just could be better)

Replacing the headlining fabric

Reverbing the seats before they get to far gone again they are in good condition for its age no rips just starting to show there age.

Eradicating small rust spots on the sills before they eat their way through and dealing with the tone of small stone chips in the paint round the front.

I am considering deleting the back box to get a but more of a musele car sound as its a little to refined :-)
