Howdy ya'll
My name is Janet and this forum is awesome. I've own my UK-Kat for five yrs. We purchased the car from auction. He's truly been a heartbreaker. They tell me to sell it while it's running. I'm told this for very good reason. I've since had a rebuilt transmission, boots and coils installed, window regulators replaced on all fours and twice on the drivers side. Installed a new oil pan after running over something on the freeway that made a hole the size of a quarter (this ones on me). Luckily for me, not other damage done. I've had a new paint job and new interior lining. It's currently dead once again, it appears to need new tensioner so and probably new timing chains. since I love this car, I'm willing to do the job myself. Been researching it, that's why I've become a member. This is the best place to go for expert advise. You all ROCK!

Welcome to the forum Janet,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
That's a long list of repairs. I can tell you're not the type to be easily discouraged!
Follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 ( X200 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. For the engine, you'll also find relevant advice on tensioners in the XK8/XKR (XK8 / XKR ( X100 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum) forum.
You can also visit the US Southwest Region forum by following this link US Southwest - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
