Hi all, I picked up a new to me 2000 XJR this weekend. The car has only 60k miles and seems to be in good shape. When I collected it the hood wouldn't open so that's been the first job - useful instructions found in the X308 forum. I'll be checking the secondary tensioners before driving it much, no rattles just precautionary. It will need a new headlining fairly soon and I noticed the front shock mounts are starting to crumble. There's also a minor vibration from the rear, I think one of the rims has a dent in it.

I've had a V12 E type, XJ40, XJ81 and an XJR6 in the past and used to be pretty active on the forums. I'm hoping to get back up to speed and contribute here but till then I'll be looking for help.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
