I drive it during the week, I nurse it back to health on the weekends, and it takes all my money. Sounds like marriage!

Kind of a dream come true, really; I've wanted a sporty Jag since seeing an E-type when I was a kid (like 50 years ago). Finally decided to pick up my XKR a few weeks ago as an X-Mas present to myself (yes, X-pun intended).

It had the timing chain tensioners done already, and during this holiday break I did the front upper strut bushings and brake pads. Today is rainy and I got misfires on cyl 3 and 4, so it's in limp home mode. [Sigh] I suppose time for new wires and may as well do the spark plugs. The beginning of a beautiful relationship indeed!

You folks are great; already learned a lot as a guest, and I expect to enjoy many more tech faqs as I keep this beauty alive. Hope I can help contribute too.

Cheers,
Rich

Hello, Rich,
A beautiful relationship indeed! All of us who drive cars more than 2 or 3 years old either Love our cars (as in the case of most members here) or are stuck in that relationship because it will cost too much to escape.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
