Default New member 2003 XJR in San Diego

I don't remember posting here when I joined. I started out with a beautiful teal 1995 XJR, and just upgraded to a black 2003 XJR.

Looks good so far - 97000 miles, but very clean. Only problems so far seem to be fuel gage reading empty when the level dips below about 7/8 (this seems to be a known issue) and the sunroof liner not raising on one side when the roof is tilted.

I will take it to my Jag guy for a good service in the next few weeks.

Initial thoughts are that the newer car drives pretty much the same as the old one. I prefer the new dash layout, but find it a little difficult to read the speedo and rev counter in bright sunshine wearing sunglasses.

Nice to have a glove box now and disappointing to see the same crappy cup holder (on day 1 of owning my first XJR I stopped at Starbucks and when I pulled away the cup came out of the holder, rolled down the armrest and dumped its contents into the back seat!)
