Puling the trigger on a 97 VP 4.0 S6. Not a perfect auto, has some glitches but the drive train seems solid. 97k miles. I've had MB and BMW before and currently drive an 02 PSD but I am putting too many miles on her with the Maintance cost of a diesel and the ride quality is...….. well its a big *** truck with 35 inch tire supporting my ego...…… kidding. This seems to be a well sorted group full of helpful and knowledgeable folk. As is my 7.3 PSD site. Not afraid to use my spanners and get dirty. The straight 6 is easy to work on and low to the ground. I am hoping parts are plentiful and not as expensive as my old 09 MB bluetech. (outrageous). Well cheers and I must say for a sedan or saloon these autos are beautiful.

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar! A more beautiful line of automobiles has never been conceived by the mind of mankind.
It has 97k miles, does it? How long has it been sitting?
That many miles in 22 years is almost unused! That's only over 4400 miles per year!

Welcome to the forums form ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums Godspeed,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the X300 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-southwest-37/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
