Hello, I'm fairly new to computers so I have a hard time with some features on screen, but I usually figure it out. I just bought a 05 Super V8 in just about pristine condition from original owner with 79000 miles from Florida, drove home 1100 miles @27.8 mpg what a dream car it is.

Welcome to the forums Vettecat,

Good to have you with us.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-x350-x358-28/ to the X350 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

I've added vehicle details to your forum Signature to help others to give relevant advice. If you want to change anything, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Although you don't give a Location, your IP Address suggests you are in Illinois. If so, you can visit the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
Many of us would Far rather be driving our Jags than fighting with our computers.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome. I'm guessing from your selected user name that you might also have a Corvette. Coincidentally there seem to be a lot of us on here with Jaguar sedans as daily drivers. Either that or your a veteran or a veterinarian?

This is my first Jag., I've always loved them from the XKE's on. What happened to me is a friend of mine got an XJ8 a year or so ago and I fell in love with it, told him when he was done with it I wanted to buy it , unfortunately someone slammed into it and totaled it. So much for that car, when I went to Florida this past winter I searched and came up with more than I really wanted but I love it!

You have it right l am a Corvette guy but have always loved Jags. Funny thing is my name came from my Corvette and my Pontiac Catalina, l drove my Catalina to Florida sold it and bought the Jag.so the name still fits.

Don't see Catalina's at the local car shows very often. I especially liked the generation with the vertical stacked headlights in the mid 60s. That's quite a change from a 40+ year old Pontiac to a fairly modern Jaguar. But I know you'll enjoy it.

Default Thanks for the reply!

Yeah my favorite Pontiacs are the stacked headlights, When I bought this car it wasn't exactly what I was looking for but I couldn't pass up the deal, one owner 36,000 miles always garage kept. I had the car for 25 years and loved it, but it was time for a change. Funny thing is, it's kinda the way I bought this car, I mean I only wanted an XJ8.
