Welcome. Graham has already directed you to the appropriate technical forum. Restoring a MK-X can be a daunting task as the sources of supply for replacement/reproduction parts are not as robust as those for a MK2 or an E-type, for instance.

Some of the MK-2, S-type, etc., group do keep an eye on the forum for your model as well, so hopefully help will be at hand. Do post pics in the MK-X-420G forum when you get a chance...
