I'd like to say hello and introduce my 1986 XJ6 Vanden Plas to the group. It started life in Florida, then moved to a long time owner in London Ontario, Canada in 1991 where I found it last year with 75,000 miles on the clock. I drove it home to Saskatoon, some 3500 kilometers with out any real drama! This is strictly a "hobby car" but it runs so well that I could use it on a daily basis. The only thing it really needs is new paint. There is no rust but the paint is original and totally deteriorated on the horizontal surfaces. I'm looking forward to participating on this forum.

Welcome to the forums Barcho,

The words "Jaguar" and "no rust" rarely ever go together in my part of the World.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...s-i-ii-iii-16/ to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Canada Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-73/ to find other members in your region.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
Pretty low mileage for a car that old.
I'll look for you over in our Xj6 Series section.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
