Hi! I have a 2003 Jaguar s type r supercharged I’m located out in denver although I travel a lot to Florida I picked up the car at 77k original miles and I have plans to fully fix up and learn about the car so that I can give it to my dad when he retires and be able to maintain it for him so he doesn’t get jerked around like I have. Currently I’m trying to figure out how to replace the idler pulley, serpentine and supercharger belts as well I learn all of the fixes. Any help or pdfs will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello,
This is the first time I've ever heard Denver refereed to as the "Midwest."
If you haven't already found your way there, someone will be along shortly to direct you to the correct section where you can find help.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums MileHighNewt,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Central Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-central-36/ to find other members in your present region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Moved on to an XF but really enjoyed my '05 S Type R for the three years I owned it here in KC (3rd owner). Unique styling and a joy to drive with oodles of power on tap. I bought the car with 76,000 miles and a few issues.....remote door lock system inoperable, drooping headlight, front and rear bushings worn, wheels in rough cosmetic condition, transmission with some typical ZF 80,000+ miles issues, dual temp control valve and coolant recovery tank leaking.....all common issues. Car was purchased with these "challenges" taken into account so I'm not complaining. With a little over $3,000 in dealership and DIY repairs done, the car was in great condition. When we parted company the headliner was beginning to sag. Ok, so not to frighten you from owning this remarkable car, but just be aware its age and condition can present some challenges. As long as you are reasonably mechanically inclined and have a few $ set aside, enjoy the ride. As you'll discover, the car shares many parts with FORD products, so a little shopping will provide some notable savings on parts. Thankfully the Forum offers a host of great advice t keep this very unique ride on the road .

thanks! I was told by my born and raised Colorado friends that it’s the Midwest lol. I’m from Florida and thought that was the south till I drove through the actual southern states and realized Florida is in a league of its own 😅
