Hello, new member new owner. I received an amazing deal on a xk8 beautifully maintained. The previous owner had enough when the head gasket went out. I secured it for $1000 with a bad head gasket. I replaced the head gasket, and putting things back together. Chains, guides, tensioners were already done. Have read through a lot o posts already. Alignment of my cam shafts were off. Not a mechanic, Probably had to much faith in myself when I started the job. 1999 xk8 convertible 4.0

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar Xk8!
By your description, all the hard bits are already done and you'll never have to worry about them again!
Now, just to get those cams sorted........
