4 days ago I purchased 1997 XJ6 VDP with 62130 miles, clean title, super clean inside and no leaks iunder hood. Curently it is not running, however delivery truck driver was able to start it and unload it. ( he told me he was messing with ignition lock). I bought it over internet and I checked CARFAX on it so I know the mileage is true. As I wasn't able to see the car in person before I bought it I just found there is some light damage to the battery/spare wheel area, which can and will be fixed. For now it is sitting i my garage and getting charged, after I get out of work next week I will look into it and most likely ask YOU guys for help so I can put it back on the road. Thanx in advance.

That light use for 15 years. Should be a good one. I had a 1996 XJ a few years back and took it up to 162K miles with very few problems.
Hope the battery charge is all that's needed to get it running.

Hello, and welcome. Sounds like you have a bit of project there, I'm sure it will be very rewarding to get it on the road again. You'll find a lot of good advise here, and answers to your questions. There are many knowledgeable contributors here that will offer their help.
