Thanks for the welcome. I have been reading some of the threads before joining. Becoming Less enthusiastic about DIYing, but still try to muster enthusiasm.

It isn't too bad I swear! At least Jag isn't like Audi. A small child couldn't stick their hand in those motor compartments.

No they are not too bad. I have been replacing the header tank tonight. Lost the spring clip to the quick release hose. Hopefully Jaguar sell new ones or I will have to remove the undertray

Get a magnet on a stick to see if you can fish it out. I can't tell you how many times I have dropped something, just to not hear it hit the ground

Welcome to the forum Prescot,

Jaguar do sell the spring clips separately but you might prefer to drop the undertray when you hear the price.

Follow Norri's links to the S-Type and X-Type tech section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Thanks all,

I have been in touch with the local dealer today and they say it only comes with the elbow. £50 + Tax.

Looks like I will be dropping the pan tonight and hoping it is on there.

If it's disappeared, then worth trying one of the specialist Jaguar breakers for a used clip. The P&P will probably be more than the cost of the clip!
