new member
I am introducing myself as a new member ,my name is John and I live in Perth Western Australia .
I am in the process of getting a 73 series 3 Etype (2+2) running, it had been sitting in Arkansas and later Tennessee for the past 30 years , having last been running in 1982 .
I purchased it through Ebay (last August) and then had it shipped over to Perth (arriving in January)
Having never worked on a motor this size before , it took me a while to lift it out and strip it down (two pistons had seized ).I am almost ready to start reassembling .
regards

Welcome to the forum John,
That's a well traveled E-Type. Not an easy vehicle for a first Jaguar rebuild project.
Follow this link E type ( XK-E ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the E-Type section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the Australia / New Zealand Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...ew-zealand-51/ to find other members in your part of the World.
I hope all goes well with the rebuild. Enjoy the forum.
Graham

G'day John, welcome from me on the other side of the island. 2+2 ? I haven't seen one of those on the road for...well forever!
Love to see some pictures of where it's at. Are you putting the steering wheel on the right side of the car?
I hope it's primrose!
