hey everyone

as you can see i am new here i live in Virgina and i own a 1985 XJ6 and. But here's the twist I'm only 14, yes i don't even have my license and already have a car. Now of course i'm not one of those people who would put 28' rims or a big boomin' stereo on it, although my dad did put a aftermarket radio in it but that was just because the one that came in it would only work with the faceplate off.

Haha sounds like me about five years ago. Now I'm 19, but I bought my first car when I was 14 so I could have a great running car by the time I got my license. Glad to hear you're not going to kill the car, and welcome to the family!

Bought my first one at 16. Mom wouldnt let me drive hers to practice to get licence. Since then I have had a total of 7 cars and 2 motorcycles. Im only 21 now. Took me a long time to find a rose (red jaguar xtype) that can blossom for me for a long time. Welcome to the forums man. Anything you need turn here before a shop. Trust me

Welcome to the forum switcharoo,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums. I think that makes you the youngest here. It's great to see young drivers with enthusiasm for Jaguars.

Follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ6 Series III section for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Mid Atlantic Region section by following this link Mid Atlantic - MD VA DC DE WV - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Welcome! I too bought my first car at 14,it was very rewarding for a gearhead like me. I'm 25 now and driving my 2001 Jaguar S-Type, the 5th and by far most enjoyable car I've owned. I wish you and your Jag many years of enjoyment together.
