Well I am looking at purchasing an S - Type just at this stage looking for some things I need to check upon inspecting the car?? problems? indicators of future problems and maybe a ball park of the price i should be paying for such a vehicle??
Well I am sure we will talk soon,
David
I will post some photos of my last xj6 series 3.... I should have got on here before buying that.... maybe I am smarter this time..
I will say thank you in advance for reading and hopefully responding to my post...

Thanks Ladies and Gentleman.... I am so glad to be part of a community of like minded cat lovers.... Thank you for your welcome I do, if not this example I will own another.... I have also seen an xjc for sale just love the lines on car...
Have always been an avid fan of xjs so nearly purchased a few but just scared of pitfalls I have been informed by past mechanics... Since talking to Jag owners buying a good example and maintenance is paramount to owning a good example???
Big xmas and new year cheer
David.

G'Day David and welcome to JF. I'm sure you'll get all the help you need on the future purchase "My word is my bond" George Cole (Arfa)

He dove a Series III Daimler and this one is a Double-Six (i.e. a V12 engine) whereas the earlier DYO979V was a 6 cylinder model.

Good luck with the hunt and remember the service history bit, there seems to many to choose from lately.

Welcome.

When you say S Type, is it the ORIGINAL, or the COPY you are looking at. I have had/got both.

The MK10 is an awesome car, but any will be a money pit in MY opinion.

The XJC, likewise.

The service history is important, but I have been caught out with that also, so I now place it as a simple "step" on the purchase ladder. The newer the car the easier it is to spot lack of service.

I know of a Silver S 8/2001 V6 that might be for sale?????.
