New Member from Delaware
Hi, my name is Bill Garey from Harrington Delaware. I'm new to this "Forum" business so hope I can contribute and not just occupy some cyber space. Have made initial post and am reposting since I didn't identify myself as new in the thread title. I have a 1997 XK8 with 61k that is beautiful, champagne convertalbe in excellent shape. Have replaced the water pump to the one with the white impeller, replaced radiator thermostat, leaky power steering pump, and lastly but most significant; secondary timing chan tensioners. Found out about these problem areas by doing a Google search about XK8 potential problems. Each time I ended up on the Jag Forums finding exactly what I was looking for and also found the solution for the problem. Even learned that I could use Ford/Lincoln parts on my engine. As stated on the Forum, the parts came in a Ford Box [logo and all] with a Jaguar part # on the box as well.
Great stuff on here. Love it. Would like to hear from and meet fellow enthusiast from the Mid-Atlantic area. Kudos to those who run and organize this for all to access. Thanks.

Welcome aboard! Glad you found some helpful info. We do have a lot of active members in the Mid-Atlantic region. Check out the Regional boards, you may find some meetings not too far away. Also take a look at some of the other model boards (S-Type, X-Type, etc) to check out where some other owners are from.
Thanks for the feedback and encouragement guys. Is there a way to spell check post before you send a post? Away to edit grammer and such if you discover it after the send. Just learning, and trial and error sometimes causes some serious grief. Just ask my knew "Droid" cell phone. Anyway, hope to make some new contacts/friends.
Welcome Bill. A few more posts and that "edit" button will pop up in the bottom right of your post after it's out there. I use it all the time!
