New Member/Hans from Santa Cruz, CA.
Hello Members,
Excited to be a part of this community. I am Hans Phillips. Just turned 63. My first car is still with me(1965 Volvo 544 Sport). My dad had fun cars all through my childhood. I washed my neighbors 1980 Rolls Royce for pocket money as a teen.
Dad let me drive his cars(spun the 73 Mercedes 280 SL on Sunset Blvd with no damage)and I owned 17 motorcycles over the years.
I've had 2 Mercedes, 2 BMWs, 3 Range Rovers, 1 Cadillac, 1 Peugeot, 1 Volvo, 1 Chevrolet and 1 Lincoln. Dad had a 1982 XJ6.
I test drove the XJR 100 ten years ago during a rain storm. A little scary, but fun. I've been looking at Aston Martin Rapides,
but they seem a bit fragile. And expensive! So I've come back to the Jaguar. I see them online from 15-50K. Shopping currently.
So, hello and looking forward to getting to know some of you and attending any gatherings within 100 miles. Have a great day.
