So, probably like most new members I've been cyber stalking this site on and off for about a year. Found a lot of good info that's helped me maintain my Jag (2001 XK8 coupe). I look forward to being a member here, I'll be honest and upfront I like working on my own car but I'm a cop not a mechanic.....With that being said thanks for everything so far and in the future.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.

Of course police officers like jaguars! I've been pulled over a dozen times in the xk8 over the last 12 years, and never have I been asked to put a plate on the front. I like to think they appreciate the inhumanity of disfiguring such a perfect nose with a lousy bug collector...plate. Local law enforcement, state troopers, all appreciate the cars. In fact, I discovered my car's first owner was an FBI agent.
