I have a 1996 Jaguar XJ6 that I love but my husband wants to "junk". I would love to refurbish it and bring it back to life. I live on Cape Cod, East Dennis, Massachusetts. The problems began with the engine revving at high rpms even in park but would "settle down" after a few depressions of the gas pedal. But then it would suddenly rev up even when driving and I wasn't able to get it to get it back down...just continued to rev at high rpms even when it was in park with the engine on. Now I can't get the gear shift out of park...just won't move. Would really appreciate some help and really want to learn how to bring my car back to life!

Follow Norri's link in post #2 to the X300 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
