Hi all! I'm contemplating buying a Jaguar, so I figured I'd come here and see what all the fuss is about. Currently driving a BMW X5, an R1200RS for sporty stuff, the wife buzzes around in a Tesla Model S. What I miss most since buying the X5 is my manual transmission fix. For me, it's just part of the driving experience -- I don't care how awesome automatics are these days, they just don't do it for me, so the X5, while very useful and a beast in the snow, is leaving me wanting more.
I recently started to fixate on the F-Type. Damn, that thing is gorgeous. And it was available in a stick until recently, so that's what I'm going for. I figure I'm looking most at the CPO market. A peculiar detail I've noticed is that Jaguar sold half as many F-types in 2018 than they did in 2017. I couldn't find stick shift numbers. Does anyone have any estimates on that? The only reason I raise this question is because I think the 2018 refresh looks cool with the LEDs, and I'm just wondering if there will actually be any available, or if I just go ahead and get a '17 or '16 with the Xenons.
Aside from that, I think I'm sold on the S Model, now just to figure out what color!
CPO is the best way to go as only the best examples are marketed through the dealer network as CPO. However, it can often be difficult to find the paint and trim combination you want, let alone the exact specification as numbers are low.
Carsalesbase has sales figures by month but doesn't break the figures down to specification level:

Hello,
I prefer stick shift for its sportiness in all but steady-speed, long distance highway cruising - which is mostly how I drive my Jag so I have other wheels to satisfy me.
I wish you success in your search.
