Recent new owner (last weekend) of a 2002 XK8 black on black convertible. 108k on the odo.
After back-to-back motorcycle accidents caused by inattentive drivers I determined it was time to try my hand at a convertible instead.
Had actually narrowed it down to a similar era BMW M3 or Lexus SC430, but came across a 2005 XKR that was closer to me than any M3 or SC, so I thought I'd go check it out. Gorgeous, powerful car but couldn't get together with the seller on a price. Body had 160k on it and the interior showed it. No matter, I was bitten by the looks/stance of the car.
Few days later I found this XK8 at a dealers lot about 4 hours from me.
After researching this form thoroughly and watching a lot of John's to the garage YouTube clips, I felt confident and comfortable enough to bite the bullet and buy a Jaguar.
I do quite a bit of work on my own vehicles and I didn't see anything to unnerving about even the worst issues related to these cars. Pretty sure I could tackle any of them should they arise, especially with the resource like this website.
Anyhow, lovin' the car - already put about 500 miles on it. It is a true head turner, pretty sure there isn't another XK8 in my burg of about 100,000

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Oh Yes! Oh so very YES! That would certainly turn my head, but I *Luv* BLACK Jags. Topless is just icing on the cake. 108K is just well broken in and loosened up. You'll get at least that much more out of it.
