Hello everyone. I live in London, England and have been here for over a decade (originally from Canada). I am a first time Jaguar owner, and purchased a 2002 XK8 4.0 litre back in May (33k miles when purchased). I love driving this vehicle - still puts a smile on my face every time I hit a country road.

I have had some lights come on - perhaps no surprise given the age of the vehicle. I work a fair bit, so limited time to experiment on the car/learn how to fix issues, but luckily my next door neighbour is an ex-mechanic/retired (BMW, various British cars over his career) so he has helped me with some minor work.

Currently - have an intermitent ABS light on (on for weeks/months then goes off) and have an engine light on - so in the forum to problem solve, and sure will slowly learn more about the car as the years go on (assuming the cost of ownership doesnt get too excessive).

I only drive once a week or so, so only put 1k miles on the car so far. Anyways, thank you for letting me join and perhaps I can even contribute (with the guidance of my neighbor!).

Welcome to the forum londonxk8,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum with the error code issue so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

The next thing was to ask you to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice but you're way ahead on that one.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link UK & Eire - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
