Been following the site for the past few years as a reference for my 2005 XJ8L, and figured it was time to introduce myself.
My name’s Matt, and the above is my first Jag - got it primarily as a commuter back when I had my Z06, as the Vette was murder on the roads we have in Tucson.
Longtime gear head and wrench - raced off-road for a while, then sportbikes. Now my racing is of the pedal variety. Was a helicopter crew chief for about ten years as well, so working on cars was just a continuation.
Anyhow, thanks for the great collection of information here - it’s been helpful as I’ve tackled a couple of the common gremlins. Pic of the car below, as well as my mugshot.
As a long timer lurker, you'll not need a lnk from me to the X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. Signature updated. Over the years I’ve owned, raced and wrenched on a number of cars, motorcycles and now bicycles, so if there’s one area I might be useful it’s there. If any of you happen to own an Apache helicopter, I also was a crew chief for 10 years, so I’m also available to help you with whatever trouble you’re having there, lol.
Aside from that, I’m the division COO of a regional commercial insurance brokerage, so if you have any questions there I’d be happy to share some insight.
