New Member from Los Angeles
Hey Folks,
Just picked up my 3rd Jag yesterday. Previously owned a 92 VDP, 97 XJR, and now a 2002 XJR. Haven't had much chance to tinker with it yet as I picked up last night and am work at the moment, but there are a few little things that I need to address on it. Not sure if I should post those issues here in the new member forum so I'll just say "Hello" and look for my posts in the help or maintenance section (sorry I just joined a minute ago and haven't even looked at what other sections there are...)
Anyway thanks in advance for any help you can give me and I'm happy to be a Jag owner again!
Thanks,
Jon

Hi Bones and Welcome to the Forum! Sounds like you have plenty of experience with our beloved brand and should fit right in.
Congrat's on the XJR - cruise on over to the XJ forum and you'll find a ton of info and help.

Thanks guys!! I took it for a spin on Mulholland last night (For those not familiar...it's a nice road for spirited driving). It's strange because the suspension seems incredibly soft and I didn't think it would handle anywhere near as well as it did. I used to have a '97 and I had been test driving 2000 models and the suspensions seemed as firm as one would expect for a sport sedan. This one seems really cushy, but I'm reading that it has a CATS suspension system which I'm assuming is responsible.....that or the shocks are shot!!!
Anyway the car was tons of fun. I need to mess around with the navigation system a little bit, but that's the only thing I'm really unfamiliar with.
Thanks again for the welcoming. I'm sure I'll be coming back with more questions as I go....

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Hi Jon - we're in the same neck of the woods - I'm in Beverly Hills. Congrats on the XJR. I had a 2001 XJ8, but always wanted an XJR. I now have a 2004 VDP. Out of curiosity, where do you go for Jag service? I used to take my 2001 to Just Jaguar in Sherman Oaks. I've only had the 2004 for a week so I haven't been anywhere with it yet.
