Good morning folks, my user name is Master Rob, lol, not out of hubris, but because that is the name that my 7 year old African Gray Parrot calls me every morning as we begin our daily banter and joking.
I've had a number of different Jaguar cars over the decades, and I'm currently working on restoring a nice 1988 XJ40. I love Jaguar cars, as well as other older cars, and working on them has always been a sort of therapy for me. I get great satisfaction at achieving a proper repair, even though I am no expert at it for sure, but I do have more than 6 decades of having the ability and desire to fix most broken things in my life. I haven't found the secret to repairing a broken heart yet, but I'm making good progress with my current XJ40 car. I'm looking forward to continuing to learn about these wonderful cars, and getting mine on the road, as driving them is one of the joys which brings us all together in this forum, I think.
Thank you all in advance for any and all help as I move forward on my Jaguar car journey!
Rob

Hello, Rob,
SO Many of us find working on older care therapeutic!
As for a broken heart, I had mine removed.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes, including the tip I hadn't considered about removing my broken heart instead of trying to heal or otherwise rebuild it..
