New Member Metal144 Back To British Steel
Hello
My first two cars were British Triumphs owned and worked on Audi's,Porche's along with a long list of domestics and imports would walk out of my way to walk past by that British Leyland dealership as a kid just to look at them. I have always loved that classic Jag look and finally made a decision to buy one ended up buying two a black 1996 XJ6VDP and a Champagne 98 XJ8VDP.
I did own a 88 XJ6 which no offense to anyone that owns one just didn't do it for me maybe due to the changes to the interior and exterior car drove fine just preferred the V8 Audi Quattro more so it was parked and not driven. I do love the look of the series 3 Jag's love the classic look and walk past some other real nice cars at shows just to look at the British imports.
I wish a board like this were around back in the day with tons of information from people who truly love these cars in my humble opinion you can't connect with a car with out turning a wrench on it. It's great to be with a group of people from all walks of life who feel the same way too.
Thanks in advance for your all the help

Isnt nostalgia a strange thing ?? When you look back & think about it both the British & American motor industries turned out some right old rubbish / crap in their time .I should know I used to sell cars in the 60's.
