Default New Member needs assistance

Hi all, my 1980 Pre HE 5.3 V12 Jaguar XJS Auto has just gone through a nut and bolt restoration, I need help and guidance with a Speedo related issue, It has stopped working, I have removed the clocks and the insturment cluster is fine, I have checked the cable drive from the gearbox and the cable is fine, leaving me with the concern that the speedo drive located in the end of the gearbox is now broken, how can I check out this element please, and if it is due to the drive failure, how do I remove the broken one, will I loose the Auto fluid etc, and where do I get a replacement from, and what specifically am I asking for,

I look fowards to any help you can offer,

Thanks

Sayers

Welcome to the forums Neil,

I've copied your question to XJS forum for advice from members with the same model. Here's the direct link to it:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...stance-237770/

I expect you'll get help from the opposite side of the World on this one.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/ to the main XJS forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. If you want to change these, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
