Hi, I joined last night because I am considering a purchase of a 2004 XJR and wanted some advice. I live in Minnesota and my current car is a 2008 C-SRT4 so this would be a big jump up for me. Any advice pre or post purchase is always welcome. I am somewhat active in the SRT forums today and if I pick up the XJR I will definitely be here to get to know my car more.

Please check out my other post and give me some pros and cons. As I say in that post I am not asking people to tell me if I should buy because I feel if you need to ask other people to make up your mind for you the answer is no. I'm looking for reasons why the purchase would be a good or bad/risky purchase. I'm heading out for a test drive today.

Welcome to the forum Matthew,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums.

I see you're already getting good advice in the X308 forum.

Hope the test drive works out OK today.

Enjoy the forums.

Welcome Matthew! Graham says you are getting good gouge from the X308 guys. But you mentioned interest in a 2004. I believe that's X350? I don't believe a LWB was offered in 2004 but the std. was roughly equivalent to the X308 LWB. It's a bigger car, but no heavier due to aluminum body construction. Make sure you do your proper research on the air suspension. Glad to have you here with us.
