Just bought my first Jag. My previous cars were all Cobras and Corvettes but always wanted a jag. It's a 2003 S-Type with the 4.2 V8. Right now everthing works on it and it runs and drives great inspite of its 132k miles. I'm still learning and enjoying the handling, quietness, and ride (compared to my Cobra). I do most, if not all of my mechanical work on the other cars but never had one with this many miles. Her maintenance records indicate that she was serviced regularly but obviously driven quite a bit. In any case with an investment of only $4,000 I was willing to take the risk. Hello to all from the great state of Texas!

Default Welcome to Jaguar Forums

Welcome Kcooper ... and greetings from a fellow enthusiast in Australia.

The S-Type is a great drive and your 4.2 sounds like it is just about run in, so should now be ready for some exciting performance. I encourage you to jump over to our S-Type model specific section where there is plenty to read and absorb ... also, to visit the regional section shared by other members in your area ... and finally, to add your car details to your signature as a permanent flag to enable other members to offer accurate advice ... from Main Menu, click <User CP> then <Edit Signature>.

All that remains is to dive into the forum ... and enjoy!
Best wishes,
Ken

Welcome to the forum KCooper167,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow Steve's link in post #5 to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.
