Hi all. Owned my S-type R since May last year, previously owned an X-type 3.0SE manual for 2 years. I'm quite a regular user of Jaguar Facebook groups but not been used this forum before. I used to use the Rover 75 and ZT forums a few years back but Facebook seems to have taken over since then, as it allows a more instant interaction. However, I think that format does lose many of the benefits of an 'old style' forum, such as filtering out a lot of the unnecessary stuff and also allowing easier access to historic threads on specific subjects. I read an interesting article recently in one of the magazines I buy regularly, either Practical Classics or Modern Classics, that discussed the pros and cons of different style forums that got me thinking about joining this forum. Also, somebody I got to know on a Facebook forum mentioned to me the Caldoofy air intake mod that I believe is only available via this forum?
Hope to be a reasonably regular poster on here, and I'm up for attending events in the Midlands whenever possible. I have previously been a member of the Jaguar Drivers Club and have attended the excellent Peak District Run on 2 occasions.
