Cool New Member - USA Jaguar

Hello everyone, I noticed this intro is a must thing, so I figured it would be a great idea to do.

I'm Jared, a 23 engineering/business student who recently came into the hands of a 1994 Jaguar XJS v12 convertible. The car was owned by my grandparents who never had time for it with their jobs and other projects so I started to work on it on my spare time, and was handed the title along with a year or two newer v12 jaguar engine on the side as well with less miles ( I don't know the exact mileage off hand)

The car was very mucky, dirty, mouse infested whenever i started working with it and did not run. Well here we are today with a totally different looking car then it did in June and also a running v12 engine.

My biggest future plan, is to custom make a hard top that is removable, just because my personal opinion is that it looks a little neater to me, but a convertible is very nice to have.

The biggest problem i am currently facing in which i saw was actually a decently named thing, is the brakes. They work a little over half the time and pull to the right when braking with a brake light warning on.

Ill try to add the pictures I currently have of the outside from a little after i started working on it, until a yesterday picture.

I look forward to all of you Jaguar enthusiast help and tips!

Thanks!

Jared

P.S If the pictures uploaded twice, that was my fault, i'm a bit new to the forums thing.

Before the car started, it was a fun push out of the garage..

Cleaned, waxed, and chrome polished

the yesterday picture, sorry my truck was included, i just always liked these kind of pictures to show off my babies.

the top is half up, due to a....mouse nest (the convertible top was still good the just used the crevice to hide in)

Welcome.

Have a look in the XJ-S section, there is a thread by "Orangeblossom" about that exact braking issue and his successful fix for it. It is a long thread, plenty of snaps.
