Default New member who didnt listen to my bf

I am a 37 yr.old form California. I moved up from a Miata to a 2013 xkr convert. I wanted something faster and bought the jag against my boyfriends advice. He told me to buy a boxster instead. I have worked on cars since I met my bf 9 years ago. He drives a Porsche and tracks it. I enjoy working On cars up until today when I tried to upgrade to a smaller pulley. I bought the xkr cause where I came from in POland, in Nowytarg, the jaguar is a luxury vehicle that is rarely seen on the road. Porsches not so much. i already have a custom exhaust that sounds better than anything on the road. My bf said my screen name is gonna cause nothing but problems and believe me it has!!

Welcome to Jaguar Forums a36ddeurobabe,

Good to have you with us.
You should always listen to your boyfriend!
I've moved your post to it's own thread, you have found the tech section already, I'd normally direct you to your regional section but I'm confused should it be CA as your profile says or IL as your IP address indicates?
Enjoy the forum.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
If you need help with getting around and using the forum follow this link for some help Forum Help

I live in Coronado, Ca. so that is the region. I left my car at my dad's ranch in southern Illinois prior to the ice storm. My boyfriend and I were visiting this pst week and I decided to work on the car and got jammed up. I am using my dads ip address to get some help here. Normally I rely on my bf to help me but this time I was too smart to listen. I am going to post the tread momentarily that instructs to cut the pulley horizontally that caused me a problem

Welcome to the forum a36ddeurobabe,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I know you've already found your way to the XK/XKR tech section so there's no need for a link to it.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Default Thanks for the welcom.

I am going to be needing more tech advice in the future. I dont know what the plastic piece under the front bumper is called, but I need to take it off. It is under the engine and the ccooling coils. I removed all the screws but it is still stuck . Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

The black plastic Undertray - item 5? Look for the Bolt and washer (item 21) on either side holding the back of the Undertray on.

New member who didnt listen to my bf-undertray.jpg

Please ask tech questions in XK/XKR section. The Intro forum is only for introductions and questions here will often be missed.
