Hello everyone, I 'm a couple of year lurker and a proud new member. I aquired a 2000 XJ8 Vanden Plas, Alpine green, I think with about 80,000 on it. I'm from Montgomery, Alabama and and a big Auburn Tiger fan. I'm retired from diverse work career including Military-USAF, retailer, coach, and administrative efforts.
My interest in sports cars bloomed after attending the 1966 Dayton 24 hour race where the Ford GTs fought the Ferraris and Porshes for acclaim. I have not owned many sports cars but did have a 1972 Triumph TR6 and a 1970 Triumph Stag V-8 with the white and chrome exterior and red leather interior.
And though it was a unpopular car for many, it was cool to bug around in. I had no problems with mine til Tboned by a speedily backing Z car in a parking lot of all things.
I have already received much encouragement for my effort to get my Light green VP back on the road as she is having her A Drum, in her transmission replaced. More to follow on that in the xj8 forum.
I just love driving my jag, I think if an asterord was hitting earth, I'd just grab a chocolate milkshake and hit the S button on my 290 hp Jag and rip up the countryside, transmission be dammed......

It sounds like you've already found your way to the X308 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
