Hi I'm john and I have been interested in Jaguars for most of my 60+ years I Would enjoy going to Melbourne to sit in the "new" series 2 XJ's. I finally purchased my first jag a new x-type in 2003 which I still have and it has been very reliable with only the annoyance of the scrubbing out of tyre's if the alignment has not been checked regularly. I have now just purchased last month a 2004 XJR which I bought privately but I have found out that it has a few issues, 1/ being damaged rims (2) the inside of them, and the other more major issue being what appears to be, after reading other posts, that the 2 front air suspension struts are leaking as the front keeps sinking but I have ordered 2 replacements and hope to driving it soon as its great to drive and the power is fantastic with a nice note too! Bye.

The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Smile air compressor

Thanks for the welcome to your forum. I have a querry that you may be able to help me with, I removed the air suspension compressor and fitted the replacement seals and refitted it to the xjr but it does not work now, I have started the car several times and I have checked the No 6 40amp fuse (ok) but haven't been able to test the relay. It would be good to get it going as I have just received this morning the 2 replacement air suspension struts.
