2004 jaguar s type 3.0
Hi, my names is LB and I have a 2004 jaguar s type 3.0 which has been riding good upto 3 months ago. I've had a few different jags but not like this one in which I bought new at the time. I recently did some repairs and it does run; however, I need to interpret the diagnostic codes from the scan device in the I/M menu as follows below
: can anyone help to correct these faults to get inspection and pass.
a. ccm - not ready
b. evap - not ready
c. o2s - not ready
d. Ho2s - not ready
Thanks

Hi, LB:
It looks like codes were cleared in connection with the repairs that were made. You are going to have to complete the necessary drive cycles in order to have the systems flagged ready for an emissions test.
You should go to the S-type forum as there have been recent discussions with regard drive cycles and passing smog. The forum is located here:

Good Luck!

Welcome to the forum LB,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
The 7 Diagnostic Monitors are:
1. Heated Oxygen Sensors Monitor
2. Adaptive Fuel Monitor
3. Misfire Monitor
4. Catalyst Efficiency Monitor
5. Evaporative System Monitor
6. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Monitor
7. Comprehensive Component Monitor (Engine Management / Transmission)
Provided there are no faults with the vehicle, these will eventually complete just by driving but it can take a lot of miles. The most efficient way is to complete Drive Cycles (a specific sequence of engine running and driving). Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Thanks to eveyone for your contribute answers to:a. ccm - not ready
b. evap - not ready
c. o2s - not ready
d. Ho2s - not ready
Good info from SUPER MOD and I went to all te relate links and yall have been doing some super things.
All codes did clear except o2s, so it looks like I'll replace that on bank 1 up stream.
Previously, I took out the original DCCV and replace it with a new one, at that time I smelled a burn older from the
ac control module. I went to a link for that issue and did a little old school soldering and reinstalled it, got cold air until it reach a dead zone, then air control temp. jump straight from 65 degree F. to 76 F as thought fault occurred. I just find the jam up with the RH EVAPORATOR discharged temp. sensor by process of elimination.
Q: can anyone tell me if it is best to reset the comprehensive component monitor (CCM) or computer after I replace the O2S?

LB,
Not many members return to an Intro thread after viewing/replying to it so further technical questions should be posted in X-Type forum.
You're between the proverbial rock and a hard place with replacing the HO2S. It should fix the issue but if you do a reset to get rid of the stored codes, this puts you back to the beginning of the OnBoard Monitoring again.

Hello, I finally got around to checking out the O2 sensor in y daughters 2004 Jag S Type 3.0; its between a rock and a hard place and I had to remove the oil filter to relieve some the pain in the space. The threads and videos are right on point by showing that the upstream driver side is always the culprit and it looks pretty bad.
Market price has been between $90 - $160, does anyone know exactly where I can purchase a working O2s that beat those prices?

Good to hear you're making progress.
That price range is about right for OE Denso sensors. There has been discussion on several of our forums about cheaper Far East origin aftermarket sensors with some very mixed results.
I've copied your post to S-Type forum for advice from members with the same model. Here's the direct link to it:
