Hello all, I have been very remiss to not introduce myself sooner. I have followed and read the forum for some time now. Frankly if it not for the valuable information I have gotten from you guys I probably would have sold my '97 XK8 a long time ago. Being somewhat handy and with the forums help I have replaced my water pump, hoses, thermostat, drive belt, timing chain tensioners, serviced my transmission and found out where to have my ABS module and ECM rebuilt. I live in Wilmington, NC and am over 2 hours way from the nearest Jag dealer so I have had to kind of figure it out for myself. All I can say is thanks for the great help and I look forward to becoming a more productive forum member.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Providing you're talking about the OP rather than Translator 'Glasses' Richard about whose OF'ness there is no doubt I do have my suspicions.
I think a grilling as to, for example, the events immediately preceding Pearl Harbo(u)r is in order but I leave that to the DemiGods.
