Default New Owner to 1994 XJ6 Vanden Plas

Greetings from Kansas,

Fell in love with this 94 after trying to find something for my 18 year old son to drive to college. Gave him the Mustang I was driving and kept the Jag.

It needs a few things but has great potential.
Doesn't always start unless the Fuel Pump starts but runs quiet and strong.
Headliner could be reglued eventually and the moonroof motor will need to be fixed.
Shocks will have to be replaced immediately as it bumps down the road.
We tinted the windows to keep the interior as perfect as it is right now.

It makes me want to take a cross country trip it rides so well.

So glad to be here, I've already found so much info that will help us restore this beautiful car.

MJ

Have someone inspect your flexible hydraulic lines or do it yourself. My 1996 XJS with 88,000 miles blew a transmission cooler line at the right rear of the engine and set the car on fire. All you folks out there that own these 4.0 cars should replace those lines. Oil lines and power steering pressure lines should also be replaced to prevent an ugly scene. Those lines are old! Carry a fire extinguisher.

Welcome to the forum MJ,

Jaguars just sneak up and take you over like that!

Sounds like you're finding your way around the forum OK.

Thanks for adding vehicle details to your signature. It helps everyone.

Welcome to the forum MJ,

Good to have you with us.
That worked out well, I expect your son is happy with the Mustang.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
