Hello everyone - I'm Ed from Phoenix, AZ, and my wife and I just joined the F-TYPE family.
WOW!
That was my reaction after driving my second-ever F-TYPE. My wife and I tested a 2017 Base model (CPO) at the dealership, and then drove another 30 minutes or so to test drive this beauty:
I'm glad we did! Only 10700 miles and it handled like a dream. Without question, this is the most powerful car I have ever driven or owned. I recently sold my 2012 Fisker Karma, and we traded in a 2011 Porsche Cayman. I really liked both cars, but I don't regret my decision to "upgrade" to the Jaguar for one moment.
I don't want to be too long-winded (yet), but if you have any questions - or more importantly, advice - please chime in. I plan to be a "sponge" on this forum and I'm looking forward to learning all I can from all of you.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Luckily, she works from home so most days it will be me... Lol.
if we go somewhere on weekends, she normally drives. It helps to minimize our disagreements.
Yep, I now have a standing arrangement with SWMBO.
When we go for one of our reasonably regular (once every month or so) trips to a winery/restaurant a bit out of town, she drives and I grimace in the passenger seat the whole way there and back. Coz she insists that I drive way too fast and it scares the bejeezus out of her. A secondary condition is that I must re-install the space saver spare in the hatch "just in case", seeing as I had an almighty blowout a few months ago and had to get the ex-missus to pick up the space saver from my garage and bring it to me. She drives such that Driving Miss Daisy is a speed crazed hoon in comparison so it's not a helluva lot of fun for me!
Congratulations on your F-type. Please be aware that F-type doesn't warn about low engine oil (or overfill) conditions despite having digital dipstick. So you have to manually check it and do so regularly.
Also, AWD and RWD F-types have different oil pan capacities, AWD has a smaller pan and dealers are known to overfill it by using RWD oil fill volume. As a result you need to check oil level after every service.
Last but not least - these cars are very finicky with batteries. If you have unexplained codes the first thing to do is to replace battery. Also, any OBD use (say with a code reader) has a high-chance of preventing car from properly shutting down. You can tell if the car powered off fully by hazard lights triangle going dark. Remedial procedure if it isn't shutting down is to disconnect battery for 30 seconds forcing power management module to reboot.
