So excited to see there is a community for Jaguar owners.

I just brought a 2000 S-Type 4.0 V8
Drives like a dream from 30MPH beyond.
A little rough under that. I know i have some work ahaed of me but the joy and satisfaction of getting it done and getting it on the road is key for me.

I forecast searching for airleaks may be in your future.

 

So i replaced the hose going from the air intake to the block. Got more horse power now. But still hear a dragging metal sound when excelerating. Any suggestions?

If you haven’t already you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for. To do this go to, User CP, Edit Signature, Add Vehicle Details and such and Save Your Signature.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Welcome S type owner! Have had my 03 s type for about 16 months and love it. Best car I ever owned/drove. Get tons of stares and comments. Love to see some pics of yours when you have some time. This forum is fantastic! Has informed and educated me on so many topics about owning Jaguars! Welcome again.
