Default new S-type R owner

Thank you for. allowing me to join your platform. I just recently bought a 2005 S-Type /R. It is in excellent condition and has 89000 miles. I love it and will make it just perfect so I can add it to the Jaguar Concourse . she is going to the Jaguar dealer here in Sarasota to get a good look over. My husband has an F-type R and the two look just fine in the garage.

Welcome back to the forums Inge Harry,

In October 2015 you were in the process of buying an XKR. Been and gone or change of plans?

Welcome to the forums RahRah,

Good to have you with us.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/ to find other members in your region.

I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. If you want to change these, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hello, Inge,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
89000 miles is just well loosened up and broken in.
You should be able to get another 100k out of that engine with proper care and feeding.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thank you, could not find the right XKR so ended with a Mercedes SL63AMG. My husband has the F-type R so I just had to go back to Jaguar.

Thank you GGG. Yes we bought the XKR and after some work on it and a lot of elbow grease it looked fantastic. My husband actually won serval prices at the Concour dÉlegance with it. Then he got really sick and then he was too weak to put up the tonneau cover so we traded it for an F-type base convertible. a Year later he had some problems at the Jaguar dealership with a service and we ended up with an F-type R British racing green with black and white interior. Guess we are stuck with Jags.
