Hello. Picking up up my first Jag tomorrow from Georgia. It's a 1996 XJ6 (X300) Vanden Plas with only 95k miles. No rust. Very good condition. Love to work on older cars. Have Mercedes 450, 560 and 600 SL's. Also have a 66 Ford Thunderbird. I have heard this Jag has a great reputation for reliability and endurance. A very elegant automobile. Can't wait to work on it and drive it! The wheels, based on preliminary research, look to be 1998-2003. Did the previous owner upgrade?
That wheel pattern isn't shown in my X300 brochure but members with the same model will know better if it was a US market option or an upgrade by a PO.

Can anyone tell me what the "envelope with a check mark" icon beside my post is?
Wayne,
The envelope with the green arrow indicates a thread in which you have posted. For example. If I hover over your thread, the information box tells me I have 1 post in it made yesterday:
The green tick (known as check in the US?) to the right of the thread shows I'm subscribed to it. The next gray shaded box shows the last post in the thread is by you made at 01:09 AM my time zone. Replies 10 = total number of replies to the thread and Views 134 at the far right = the total number of individuals who have viewed the thread (could be multiple times)
