Well, I have referred to this site on numerous occasions and I am excited to become a member.

I have already applied lessons from the site on my 2001 XK8 like adding bluetooth and capping my leaky hydraulic lines to the hood latch (for now).

I am very proud of my XK8, but I think owning it will be more of a love affair than a function of practicality (as I have learned on this site).

My future work will include shoring up leaks on the valve cover gasket, in the power steering hoses, and also in the coolant system. I need to get the power seats back into function and eventually replace the hood latch hoses that have started leaking (still work, but leak fluid at the latch).

My XK8 only has 53,500 miles, but the age is seemingly hurting it more than the miles.

Also, I just put on Nitto Invo tread 255 / 45 R18 on all four of the factory impeller rims.

Nursing this car to good shape is going to be a fun hobby.
