New XJ owner in Alabama
Greetings - We just purchased a 2005 XJ8L, and so far are loving it!
It has been 6 or 7 years since we sold our 1986 XJ-6. I hope this one is as reliable as that one was.
This forum is THE place to be for Jaguar owners!
Thanks to the owners/moderators!

I have some pictures, just need to find them buried in this computer somewhere. Does anyone know how long the waiting period/post requirement is to be able to view and post photos here? So far, I seem to b restricted from some featres due to spam safety precautions on the site.

Still getting to know the new gal - She has had all her service done, with records (just off of lease). So far, the issues were:
- Fog lights not working - dealer found a short near the switch.
- Coolant temperature sensor went on our first "out of town" trip, with accompanying "degraded performance" message and immediate temp gauge spike (did not overheat, though). I fixed this myself. The temp gauge was reading lower than it should (I know now) since we had it, so the sensor was on the way out all along I think.
I hope this is the end of it for a while. As we get to know her, our confidence will increase, as will our radius from home we drive with her...

). The light was perfect, and the Jaguar is pretty photogenic anyway...
