New xjr owner
Hi.
I've just bought my second Jag, a '98 XJR advertised as having no history. A bit of research before handing over the cash however found it did. I rang Stratstone Manc and had a copy sent through. Feel pretty happy with the deal tbh.
Anyway, new w/pump + front belts bought and will fit this week beforesending it off to get a 100k service (and stamp in the book). Planning head unit swap with a dock for my phone. Will need to be a custom build. This has Sat Nav on it (Google Maps for Android) and a micro usb connection. I want DAB and bluetooth. Probably put the DAB aerial in the spot where the knacked std one is.
Has a touch of tin worm, which I'll have sorted as I can't do bodywork myself very well. Looking to upgrade to Paramount ECU and will make a pulley. Might even wrap it in matt black. I am an odd kind of purist with classic cars in that if I buy a std car, I'll keep itthat way, but if it's been modded by someone else, then game-on. Minis mainly. This Jag is still almost current, and sensitive aftermarket mods, sympathetic to Grace, Space and Pace are fine by me.
Cheers,
Doug.

Welcome to the forum Doug,
Great Intro. Sounds like a good deal with the PO not doing their research on the history.

Cheers Fellas.
Looking forward to finding out those invaluable nuggets of info shared out to prevent individuals losing knuckle skin, patience, sanity, or more importantly, money, when simply trying to keep their Jag hale and hearty.
