Hello there. Split my time betw CT and South FL but my new-to-me 1989 XJS V12 convertible, approx 41K miles, very good condition, BRG with black top, previously owned by a gentleman in Kansas City, just got delivered to FL and I am hoping the forum can help answer what I am sure will be periodic questions. First one I’ll ask here and rest I’ll ask in separate threads: when car was dropped off I noticed a constant buzzing sound. Not cooling fans running. Sounds like it could be for door open (but not that). I have a sticky left front window switch; could it be related to that? Buzzing continued whether top was up or down (motor for top isnt operating so I take the top up and down by hand. Thanks in advance. Turns out that sound is the seat belt alert, because when I got into the car to drive it as soon as I clipped the belt the sound stopped. The problem now is that when I get out of the car the only way to stop the sound is to click/connect the two ends of the seat belt. So, it sounds like a wiring/connection issue but I’m just a layperson. Thanks again in advance of any help/suggestions.
