Newbe
Greetings
I am new to the forum and am in the process of buying an 06 XK8 convertible.
I have owned a couple other Jag's, a 68 XKE convertible and a 61 Mark II sedan.
I had a ball in the XKE and think the XK8 & R series have the same timeless
style.

Welcome!
I'm a noob here too. I've never had a Jag, but i've been learning about them and shopping around lately. I'm using Used Car Search Engine, Craigslist & Dealerships - Carsabi to find mine because it searches all the craigslists and the dealerships. I recommend it if you haven't found one yet. Anyway hope you get your car soon. You'll definitely enjoy the forums. There's a great crowd here.

welcome to Jaguarforums Russ, good to have you here with us
If you add your car details to your signature it will help others to help you much more quickly.
A really great mix of information, camraderrie and fun

Thanks for all the kind words, I cant wait to be driving a Jaguar again. I think owning one takes a special kind of personality. Most guys go out and buy some kinda high powered pocket rocket but Jag owners have an eye for beauty and also a seance of the past.
Welcome to the forum. Agree who wants a high pwered rocket
.?
The lines are truly timeless and very elegant, and more as with the wood all around it becomes more a desirable classic car, yet with modern technology (and safety).
Am sure you will enjoy the forum, hope you can enjoy your new ride soon!

I just picked up the car last night and is it ever sweet. It is an 06 XK8 with 30,300 miles Quartz outside and Dove/Charcoal inside. The only downside was no manuals or keyfobs.
I downloaded all the manuals off the Jag website but cannot locate the Navigation manual.
